Jordan High School is a closed campus high school. This requires that all visitors report first to the front office. Students from other schoolsare not allowed to visit this campus. All visitors on campus withoutpermission will be asked to leave. Those who refuse will be consideredtrespassers and dealt with accordingly.
California Penal Code 626.8
Any person who comes into any school building or upon any school ground,or street, sidewalk, or a public way adjacent thereto, without lawful businessthereon, and whose presence or acts interfere with the peaceful conduct ofthe activities of the school or disrupts the school or its pupils or schoolactivities, or any specified sex offender who comes into any school buildingor upon any school ground, or street, sidewalk or public way adjacentthereto, unless such person is a parent orguardian of a child attending that school, or is astudent at the school or has prior writtenpermission for the entry from the assistantprincipal, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
The principal shall maintain a systemto enable a parent or guardian toremove a student from campus forapproved reasons. Namely, these areillness or injury, medical appointment,serious illness of a family member,death of an immediate familymember or justifiable reasons suchas a court appearance, observanceof a religious holiday or ceremony, orother reasons considered justifiableby the assistant principal ofattendance.
Students are to attend allscheduled classesand to remain oncampus during theentire regularlyestablished student´sschool day. Consistentattendance directlyaffects the attainment ofstudent instructionalgoals andexpectations.
Off Campus Without Permission
Students are not to leave campus during the regular school day unless theyhave a legal permit. All “off campus without permission” violations will resultin demerits, a parent conference, suspension, and/or a citation (ticket).
